Santa Jim for Church & Parish Christmas Celebrations
A parish Christmas social is a chance to slow down, reconnect and enjoy time together. Santa Jim can be part of the family celebration while your organisers shape the occasion around your church’s traditions. With more than 35 years of Santa experience, he brings a friendly presence to festive gatherings. Share your plans early and discuss the approach that feels right for your community.

A Santa visit that fits your programme
Plan Santa’s appearance around your family social, parish breakfast, Christmas fair or after-service gathering. Decide whether you want a group welcome, family photos or a smaller meet-and-greet. Tell Santa Jim about the tone of the celebration and any activities already scheduled. Your church leads its worship and religious programme; Santa’s agreed appearance is part of the festive social occasion.
Make room for children and grandparents
A family gathering works best when every generation can enjoy it. Choose a welcoming area where younger children can see Santa and older guests can sit comfortably. Leave space for families to approach together. Discuss the likely ages and attendance when booking, and allow children who are shy to watch without pressure before deciding whether to join in.
Help your parish volunteers prepare
Nominate a coordinator to meet Santa, explain the schedule and help organise groups. Check entrance access, parking and the route to the gathering space. If your church supplies gifts, label them and agree the handout order before the day. Volunteers should remain available to supervise children and help Santa move between the activities you have planned.
Keep your invitation clear and welcoming
After the booking is confirmed, let families know the Santa visit time, location and any registration arrangements. If the celebration includes a food collection, refreshments or another community activity, explain those details separately. A clear invitation helps families plan their visit and gives parish volunteers a practical timetable to work with.

Before you book
Can Santa attend our parish breakfast or Christmas fair?
Enquire with your proposed date, venue and attendance. Santa Jim will discuss availability and an appearance that can fit the social part of your celebration.
Can the visit follow a church service?
Share the expected finishing time and your plan for moving families into the social gathering. Confirm the arrival and visit times with Santa Jim before announcing them.
Do we need to provide presents?
Gifts are optional. If you would like Santa to hand out presents supplied by your church, discuss the plan in advance and provide clearly labelled gifts with a coordinator to help.
