A little planning. A lot of Christmas magic.
Santa Jim for Christmas Parades & Holiday Kickoffs
A holiday kickoff needs a clear schedule, a welcoming atmosphere and a moment that brings the celebration together. Santa Jim can be part of that plan, whether you are organising a parade appearance or a festive welcome at your event venue. His more than 35 years of Santa experience gives you an experienced performer to discuss the occasion with. Share the route, location and proposed role early so the practical details can be agreed.
Get to know Santa Jim and tell him what you have planned.

Define Santa’s place in the celebration
Tell Santa Jim whether you are planning a parade route, a ceremonial arrival or a public holiday welcome. Explain where the appearance starts and finishes, how long it runs and whether there will be a gathering afterward. A clear role helps you coordinate the Santa moment with announcers, marshals and other performers. Confirm the format before advertising Santa’s participation.
Agree transport and the arrival plan
Parade organisers should explain the proposed vehicle or float, boarding arrangements, seating and support team. Santa Jim’s appearance does not include a float, vehicle or transport package unless specifically agreed. Discuss practical access and comfort before the booking is confirmed. Provide a named contact who can meet Santa and coordinate his arrival with your event operations team.
Prepare for an outdoor holiday event
Share your weather plan, waiting area and any sheltered space available before and after the appearance. Explain how organisers will communicate changes to the route or schedule. Your event team remains responsible for crowd management, permits and event operations. Agree what will happen if conditions or the programme change so everyone knows who will make contact and when.
Keep the parade and follow-up visit distinct
A moving parade appearance and a stationary family meet-and-greet need different schedules. If you want both, include them in your enquiry rather than assuming there will be extra time afterward. Estimate how many families may attend the follow-up visit and arrange volunteers to guide them. For a celebration centred on switching on a tree, explore the existing tree-lighting service page.
Your preferred date matters

Santa Jim gets booked up early, especially for popular December weekends. Send your preferred date, event address, approximate attendance and any alternative times. He will discuss availability and provide a quote for your plans.
An enquiry checks availability. Your date is secured only when the booking arrangements are confirmed.
Before you book
Does Santa Jim provide a parade float?
A float or vehicle is not included by default. Organisers should describe their proposed transport and discuss the arrangements directly with Santa Jim before confirming the appearance.
Can Santa stay for photos after the parade?
Ask about this when requesting availability. A post-parade photo session needs its own agreed timing, location and guest-flow plan.
What information is needed for a quote?
Send the event date, route or venue, start and finish times, expected role, transport plan and any follow-up appearance. Include your organiser’s contact details and weather arrangements.
